Kimi K3 is out, and I am genuinely glad that Anthropic and OpenAI have a serious competitor.
According to benchmarks, it comes close to the leaders across many tasks. But it does not have to be the best. It only needs to be good enough that users always have an alternative, and that OpenAI and Anthropic have a reason not to raise prices or make their products worse.
